IDE Setup, Tips & Tricks – Monday AM June 5th $125 ($150*)

This half day course deals exclusively with the IDE getting you ready for the WB, WD, and WD Mobile classes. We provide an overview of the IDE as well as a consistent setup to be used for the classes during the rest of the week. We discuss some of the external tools provided by PCSoft which makes life easier in the development cycle. Also covered are some shortcuts as well as the 8 and 10 tab paradigm used by the WX product line.

Data Retrieval for WEBDEV – June 6th $250 ($300*)

The full day course deals heavily with data access for WEBDEV; tables, loopers, hfilters, queries, sql, views, code procedures. All examples are royalty free for you to incorporate into your own applications. Of particular note are the Query By Example (QBE) and the Dynamic Business Rules. This course is the same as the WINDEV course, but deals exclusively with WEBDEV as there are some differences.
Concierge – Win,Web,Mobile,WSDL in 1 Day – June 6th $250 ($300*)

This class will show the true power of the common code of the WX world. We will be create a Concierge Display application, similar to the Arriving/Departing Display you see at the airport, with a few additional features used by the Charter Flight Industry. First we will create a Web Service that will be used to serve the data to all of our other applications. Next we will create a windows version of the Concierge Display. We will then leverage that established code to create a Web Version. Finally we will create a Mobile version of the display. All of this will be accomplished in 1 day, using a single project file, shared between all 3 IDEs.
WinDev Mobile development for the future – June 6-8 $700 ($850*)

Mobile development is here and now, any application you have can benefit from mobile apps as well as open new opportunities for you as a developer. Training will consist of 3 major items, Setup , communication and Look/Feel. Day 1: setup and creation of Google Play and Apple Store. Day 2: Communication, creation and setup of Webservice , interface to FTP and Rest Services, use of Mobile Directories and how to manage them. Day 3: Creation of APP, Paralax use, use of FTP to send/Recieve images, Geolocations, Push technology , and other features we can use. All APPS will use the Configuration to create both a Android and Apple App.

Responsive and Mobile Web Development – June 7th $250 ($300*)

We will be exploring several methods for Responsive and Mobile Web Development. We will examine where, when, and most importantly HOW. We will take an indepth look at the Blade technique for Responsive design offered by WEBDEV and compare that to the GRID technique of other frameworks such as Bootstrap. Sometime responsive just isn’t responsive enough, and you need to create pages specifically designed for mobile devices. WEBDEV offers Dynamic Serving for that and we will be taking a close look at that feature as well. We will wrap up by looking at some of the enhancements that v22 has made in this area.

We will be looking behinds the scenes of two production websites (WinDev-US.com and LeakIntel.com) and covering these items and more: Context Management, Challenges of AJAX code with AWP, Search Engine Optimization, Hybrid sites using both AWP and WEBDEV Dynamic. The help says “A good knowledge of WEBDEV (including the concepts of sessions and contexts) is required to used this advanced mode”, but doesn’t tell you where to get that knowledge.
