One of my presentations at Devcon was “Small Things = Big Productivity”.
We tend to make fun of the “92# New features” each year, but in reality there are always 10 – 15 major new features, that easily justifies the cost of the upgrade.
What sometimes gets lost in the shuffle is all the smaller improvements and enhancements that are made each year. None of these changes are what I would call earth shattering, but they do contribute to our overall productivity, in an IDE that I definitely consider to be the the most productive IDE I have ever used.
So I wanted highlight a few of the smaller improvements that you might not have picked up on, when you browsed through the v22 brochure.
Here is a link to the slideshow that was part of my presentation. Hopefully you can follow the slides and pick up a few tips from them. If not well, all I can say is that is why you need to beg, borrow, or steal you way to DevCon each year, so you can get the full presentation 😉
